Mehregan is an ancient Iranian festival, dating back to 4 BC, which honours Mithra (or Mehr), the Zoroastrian goddess of friendship, affection, and loyalty. Celebrated on the day of Mehr in the month of Mehr, it is rooted in a tale where Fereydun defeated the wicked Zahak, imprisoning him at Mount Damavand. This victory contributes to the festival’s significance, which also aligns with the harvest season, symbolising gratitude for Ahura Mazda’s provision of food to endure the approaching winter. Mehregan, second only to Nowruz, is marked by a vibrant table adorned with flowers, fruits, sweets, nuts, rosewater, silver coins, and a Kondor burner.

PCC would like the pleasure of your company in celebrating Norooz parties on Saturday the 23rd and Sunday the 24th between the hours of 6:30-11:30.

Entry is by prior payment of £25 per person above 12 years old. We will be serving dinner (chelo kebab), salad, fruit, Shirini, and Ajil.

If you wish to attend, please transfer the correct amount (£25 per person) and include your name, date (23rd or 24th), the number of adults, and the number of children.

Ticket sales will close on the 18th, and any payment made after this date will not be accepted as a reservation and will be returned.

Dear friends and supporters we, at PCC are planning on holding regular family nights on the first Saturday of every month. The first event will be held on the 4th of February, between the hours of 6:30-11:00. Please feel free to bring any snack you likdd Ed to share with your friends and family, while bearing in mind that no drinks of any sort is permitted on the PCC site. Please purchase your drinks from the bar. Also bring any board games to enjoy with friends.
